The call for abstracts for the Venice 2018 Symposium, to be held in Venice, Italy from 15-18 October 2018, is now officially open! Abstracts on the topics listed below should be submitted by 28th February 2018 using our online submission form

Biomass and waste characterisation as a potential energy source • Renewable fuel (Biodiesel, Bioethanol, Gas liquification, Hydrogen) • Anaerobic digestion • Refuse-derived fuel / Solid recovered fuel (RDF/SRF) • Thermal treatment (Combustion, Pyrolysis, Gasification and Others) • Economic aspects • Decision tools • Policies and Legal aspects • Climate change and Sink • Ecotoxicological aspects and Health issues • Public acceptance • Experiences and new developments • Developing countries 

All final papers accepted to Venice 2018 will be included in theSymposium Proceedings. A number of leading papers will be invited to be peer-reviewed for publication on leading international journals.

ORGANIZE A WORKSHOP DURING THE CONFERENCE

Venice 2018 will afford once again the opportunity to organize thematic workshops to promote networking and in depth discussion of the hottest issues in the field of waste to energy. As their emphasis is on critical discussion and detailed exploration of a topic, workshops are primarily addressed to experts and usually seeded by a selected number of introductory lectures delivered in order to open discussion between participants. Those wishing to organize a workshop are kindly required to send their proposal to the Organizing Secretariat no later than February 28th, 2018.
